Zim to impose fines for not using ZiG

Zimbabwe will penalise individuals and companies that don’t use the prevailing official foreign-exchange rate of its new ZiG currency for transactions.

The government will levy a fine on offending firms and individuals, Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube said this week.

He had warned of looming regulations to enforce sole use of the official exchange rate in the economy. –
