CENTRESTAGE’S popular Extravaganza is back to start the year on a high note. Join some of the best performers Port Elizabeth has to offer as they take to the stage tonight at the Boardwalk amphitheatre.

The three-hour show sold more than 1 000 tickets last year.

Extravaganza, consisting of sections of Centrestage’s most popular shows of 2014, promises to keep audiences dancing the night away.

The evening begins with a trip down memory lane to the sounds of the Bee Gees as Andre Strydom, Kevin Mattheus, Andrew Warneke, Hugo Kleinhans, Deborah Everard, Roger Gilson, Aston Wylie, Fenlin Pitie and Caron Strydom perform favourites such as Stayin’ Alive, Night Fever and I Started a Joke.

After the Bee Gees get the mood started, the band keep toes tapping with Simon and Garfunkel’s hit songs, such as the original version of Cecilia,

Keep the Customer Satisfied and more of their popular songs.

The band then pays tribute to the great Walk the Line and Ring of Fire star Johnny Cash in a country, rock ’n’ roll, blues, folk and gospel rollercoaster. The ever-popular Mumford Revolution is back after their performance during the festive period and are sure to keep patrons on their feet for the rest of the evening.

The band combines the fiddle, dou- ble bass, banjo, acoustic and electric guitar in a lineup of the feel-good music and current chart-toppers for which they are known.

Port Alfred-based star and exceptional Elvis Presley impersonator Lionel Hunt takes to the stage as he performs some of Presley’s greatest hits, such as Blue Suede Shoes, Hound Dog, Heartbreak Hotel and Love Me Tender.

Finally, the gifted Megan du Toit not only joins in the Johnny Cash tribute, but also sets the stage alight with her originally written and performed music.

As is tradition, the Centrestage Extravaganza also features a smorgasbord of other delightful interludes with unpredictable twists.

The show starts at 7.30pm and ends at about 11pm. Tickets are R140 per person (or R130 per person for eight or more) and may either be booked at Computicket or by calling Wendy on 082-661-6921.
