Upsets galore in Nodefa
THERE were several upsets in the Nodefa VW Community Trust Premier League over the weekend.
Struggling Highland Spurs scored a shock 2-0 win over Golden Chiefs (4th) at the Jabavu Stadium on Friday evening.
In the late game, log-leaders Manchester United were held to a surprise 1-1 draw by Really Rangers (13th). As a result of the draw United drop to second.
Probably the weekend’s biggest shock was Manchester Babes (joint last) beating Stokes United 3-1.
In another upset Temptation (13th) beat Kabah United 4-2. Jamaican Stars regained top spot with a 4-0 win over City Friends.
Defending champions Imbabala Young Stars demolished tailenders City Style 8-0.

YOUNG Teenagers and Peace Lovers are setting the early pace in the Peefa Premier League with the rest of the chasing pack already falling behind.
Teenagers retained their two-point lead over Lovers with a 2-1 win over Real Lion, one of three teams tied in fifth place, 12 points behind the log-leaders. Lovers edged out Real Aces 2-1. United Brothers (third) fell behind with a 2-2 draw with Young Idols (tied in fourth place). Idols, who lead on goal difference, were thrashed 3-1.
Tailenders Pain Killers were thrashed 3-1 Black Chiefs who are joint fourth.
