Top cricketers to be recognised at CSA Awards

THIS year’s Cricket South Africa (CSA) season will officially close early next month with a glittering ceremony, where various players and figures, who have contributed to the success of cricket in the country over the past season, will be recognised.

The CSA Awards will take place on June 3 at the Gallagher Estate in Johannesburg.

Judging for the event has been completed and the awards just have to be officially announced.

Last year’s CSA Cricketer of the Year, AB de Villiers, is once again a nominee for the coveted award.

He will compete against test captain Hashim Amla, bowling stars Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel and T20 captain Faf du Plessis for the evening’s top honours.

Voting for the Fans Cricketer of the Year and the Ram Delivery of the Season is open and fans can SMS the name of their player or their choice delivery to 45732.

The event will be televised live on SuperSport 2 from 8pm.
