Datsun on GO with limited edition
A NEW chapter in the Datsun story has been written as the company launched a limited edition, high-spec version of the Datsun GO Lux.
This follows the successful reintroduction of the Datsun brand to South Africa in 2014, with the launch of the GO, which has since become a leading seller in the competitive A-segment of the market.
The new GO Remix, with special accessories, is a modern model that should add sales to the low-cost brand.
This addition will now see the GO available locally in the base GO Mid, GO Lux and Remix versions.
And the good news is that prices vary from R104 900 to R159 900 across the range, Datsun South Africa general manager Des Fenner says.
“The major appeal of the Datsun GO Remix lies in the fact that there will be only 200 units sold in South Africa.
“For Datsun enthusiasts, this means the opportunity to own a rare vehicle specifically crafted for ‘Risers’, young trend-setters in the 18 to 30 age group, looking for ways to stand out from the crowd. Making the car more desirable is its price, making it possible to buy a stylish brand new car,” Fenner said.
As for the GO Remix, where similarly equipped A-segment vehicles from other manufacturers are priced at about R165 000 to up to R184 000, this limited edition offering will retail at a recommended price of R159 900, making it one of the keenest priced, high-spec A-segment vehicles available.
