Decision time for De Kock

TRAINER Mike de Kock will have to decide where to place his three-year-old colts for the upcoming feature races.

The Grade 1 events are the Cape Guineas in December and the Investec Derby in January, both at Kenilworth, while the warm-up races are the Grade 2 Selangor Cup, also at Kenilworth, and the Grade 2 Dingaans, over 1 600m at Turffontein on November 26.

De Kock has entered Al Fahad, Bold Rex, Heavenly Blue and Janoobi for the Dingaans.

Barrier positions might decide where they run and with Janoobi drawing wide in Cape Town but No 4 for the Dingaans, could induce De Kock to run him at Turffontein. Al Fahad has drawn reasonably for the Cape Town race but 19 for the Dingaans and could go to the Cape sooner than later.

Doosra, who held on to beat Heavenly Blue in the Graham Beck Stakes is also among the Dingaans entries.

There is a supplementary on November 14 with final declarations on November 16.
