BOWLS BRIEFS
SUMMERWOOD BC: Mixed social bowls on Thursday mornings and women’s bowls on Tuesday mornings. Tabs in by 8.45am. Men’s social bowls is on Monday afternoons. Tabs in by 1.45pm. Our Christmas dinner and prizegiving will take place next Friday at 6.30 for 7pm. Old members and friends are welcome to attend. Please call 082-578-0950 to reserve your place.
MILL PARK BC: Social bowls every Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm. Everyone is welcome to join us. Mill Park subscriptions for the 2016-17 year are R550. This includes affiliation fees. WALMER BC: Wednesday: 1.45pm ladies and men social. Thursday: 1.45pm Chocoholic mixed competition, visitors welcome. Friday: 4.30pm Twilight. Joker draw 6.30pm followed by a light meal. Please put names on catering list. Saturday: 1.45pm social and Sunday 9.15am social.
REDHOUSE BC: A very successful and exciting day was enjoyed by the players and spectators. Redhouse won the (Pee Pot) trophy. The trip back to Uitenhage on the train was so much fun with a lot of singing. Players also used the opportunity to market the game of bowls to other people on the train.
WESTVIEW BC: Playing sessions: Wednesday 8.50 for 9am. Saturday 1.50 for 2pm. Sunday 8.50 for 9am. Cut-throat bowls on Friday 9.15am. Last week’s winner was Mike Hanson. Twilight bowls starts on Thursday at 5.30pm. Prizegiving on Friday at 6.30pm. Pub and grub November 16, R70 pp.
PEBC: Thursday, pm mixed trips fun bowls with prizes (I Simpson), Friday, am Bob Mott men’s drawn pairs competition (J Bee). Cash prizes each session. 6pm Ambiton draw night. Saturday PM men’s league practice matches and social tabs-in bowls. Sunday, Am arranged men’s bowls (T James) and arranged mixed bowls (Y Barnes). Finesmaster: Bertie Kommel. Tuesday am Grasshoppers men’s pairs bowls (L Long). Pm mixed tabs-in social bowls. Visitors welcome. GBS Xmas festival of Bowls to be held on December 3 and 4. Limited to 48 players.
