Fun forecast for Ocean Racing

-

AFTER three well-supported events in not-so-great weather, it is hoped this Sunday will see better conditions and a record attendance at Hobie Beach for the fourth round of the aQuellé Ocean Racing Series.

“There’s nothing similar on this continent and we’re only aware of New Zealand which offers something similar for families,” series creator Michael Zoetmulder, of Zsports Events, said.

“No fewer than seven events take place at the same time, so the series has something for everyone and offers a fantastic fun and healthy morning down at the beach.”

For those who fancy a dip in the ocean, there are 400m, 1km, 2km and 3km races to consider.

For those who prefer keeping their feet dry, there are a 5km beach run, 5km beach walk and a kids’ 12-years-and-under 1km beach run.
