JEFFREYS BAY BC: Hosted 96 school teachers from seven schools in the J-Bay/Humansdorp area to a fun afternoon of bowls. The teachers soon found that the game is not as easy as they thought and is definitely not “old man’s marbles”.

Everyone tackled the day with great enthusiasm and there was a great spirit among all the teachers. A good competitive spirit was noticeable, as there were good cash prizes up for grabs.

The teams were each made up of three teachers. A great fun day was enjoyed by all and the prize for best-dressed team went to The Kitty Katz from Victory School.

Runners-up were WielieWalies from Nico Malan High and the afternoon was won by Die Drie Pikkewyne, also from Nico Malan. A

number of teachers requested that this be held as an annual event. This tournament was a kickoff of the National November membership and marketing drive.
