Humdinger on cards for league clash

- Mogan Segadavan segadavanm@timesmedia.co.za

ALL eyes in the Safa-NMB SAB League will be on the clash between high-riding NMMU Madibaz and in-form Hearts at the NU2 Stadium in Motherwell tomorrow.

The match between the Pefa neighbours will be the final one of the day in the feast of soccer scheduled for the stadium.

The action kicks off at 9am with log-leaders Mabayibone Strikers taking on Camper United.

On current form, Strikers should retain their position at the top of the table.

Hearts will be hoping not to score first when they take on the students.

Leading up to last week, Hearts scored first in all six of their matches but managed to win only two.

Last week, they broke the hoodoo and came from behind to beat Island City 3-1.

Meanwhile, Madibaz hit a purple patch in their match against Ikamva Movers, scoring six goals with out reply.

With both teams hoping to come out unscathed, the match should be a humdinger.

Fairview Rovers, who started as pre-season favourites, should get back onto the winning trail when they play Despatch Pioneers in the second match of the day.

After an excellent start, Rovers have been slipping down the league table with several shoddy performances.

Fixtures:

Camper United v Mabayibone Strikers, Fairview Rovers v Despatch Pioneers, Central Acemates v Golden Aces, Motherwell Academy v Showvillage United Brothers, Royal Bucks v Ikamva Movers, Young Cosmos v Island City, NMMU Madibaz v Hearts.
