PORT ELIZABETH TVET College plays an important role in creating highly skilled students by equipping them with the best quality, relevant skills to enable them to meet the requiremen­ts for sustainabl­e economic growth and developmen­t.

This underpins our vision of being the preferred provider of TVET (Technical Vocational and Education and Training) and Report 191 (Nated) Programmes, which complement the human resource and skills developmen­t needs of a competitiv­e, developing nation.

Our main goal for the college includes supporting our learners, creating opportunit­ies and assisting to enable students to complete their studies successful­ly. WHY CONSIDER TVET?

The TVET sector is one that offers endless opportunit­ies for the student, the chosen industry and the community at large. Competent NCV Level students receive the National Certificat­e qualificat­ion after completion of all three levels, namely Level 2, 3 and 4, on the National Qualificat­ions Framework. National

Diplomas can be achieved by applying to the department, combining National N4, N5 and N6 Certificat­es with proof of the relevant 18-month internship. STUDENT SUPPORT

We comprehens­ively provide financial aid to as many learners as possible.

We provide workplace-based exposure during training by linking students with companies which could secure permanent placement after completion of their studies.

We have an initiative engaging higher education institutio­n and TVET Colleges addressing the articulati­on between offered programmes to enhance learning and improve results.

Three brand new programmes added to the list in the last three years due to the strong demand by the community included Transport and Logistics, Sports Management and Public Management

PE College has worked together with the most successful companies, skills-funded developmen­ts and Setas, to ensure that there are learnershi­ps and future employment opportunit­ies.
