Softball squad shaping up

MANDELA Bay Softball (MSA) have named their training squad and technical team for the Eastern Cape inter-district tournament in East London later this year.

This is the first inter-district MSA will be attending since the body’s establishm­ent in 2014, so the preparatio­ns of selecting the MSA tournament team have been a priority and will continue to be for the next while.

All the players tried to impress in the already completed group sections of this year’s Grand Challenge tournament, and the associatio­n will stage another all-day tournament at Londt Park from 8am to 5.30pm on Saturday.

There were a number of exciting match-ups in the Grand Challenge at Londt Park at the weekend.
