STRUGGLING TO GET AN ID

I DO not have an ID. I do have a wife and have been married for 36 years with three adult children, who all have IDs. I still have got the old green card. I never applied for an ID book. Why don’t the home affairs officials believe me?

I made an application way back in February and September last year, and had it stamped at the home affairs office. I have got proof of my children’s and my wife’s ID. I MUST agree with Marion Harning’s letter regarding Mark Wiggett’s cartoons (“Cartoons insulting”, January 17). He started off with a bang, but has been steadily losing the plot. His cartoons are now unfunny and stereotyped. Writer’s block?

DEMOLISHED BECAUSE BUILT ILLEGALLY

WITH reference to the article, “Israeli demolitions spark deadly clash” (January 19), these demolitions took place because of illegal construction with no development and zoning plans, as said by an Arab Israeli politician himself. Why was this not mentioned in the article? The demolitions had nothing to do whatsoever with the propaganda lie of any so-called “racist policies”. The biased false reporting of the media on Israel continues. SW
