VP: The famous St Paddy’s Bowling Challenge returns. Join us on Thursday March 16 at 8.30 for 9am for a bit of bowling (mixed trips, three games of 12 ends), Irish music, green beer, spot prizes and loads of fun. Cost is R 270 per team and we will have fires after for anyone who would like to braai. Bookings with Dave 082-60-4817. Sharpen your drawing skills at Cutthroat on Friday afternoons, 5pm start. Weekly prizes and stay for a drink and supper afterwards.
UITENHAGE: The Business bowls starts on Friday, at 6pm. All skips and teams are invited to attend the club tomorrow as the draw for the first round will be done in the bar. Due to the pressure of the league bowls/calendar the steak night has been postponed until further notice. The Levyvale Spar pairs will be played tomorrow at 5pm. All welcome. Hot dogs will be on sale.
WALMER Bowling Club: Programme for the week: Tuesday 1.45pm Women’s and Men’s social bowls; Wednesday: 1.45pm Social bowls; Thursday: 1.45pm Chocoholic mixed competition, visitors welcome; Friday: 4pm Twilight bowls and 6.30pm Joker draw; Saturday: 1.30pm League games. Check team’s names on the list and 1.45pm. Social bowls; Sunday: 9am League games and 9.15am Social bowls.

WESTVIEW: Playing sessions: Wednesday 8.50 for 9am; Saturday 1.50 for 2pm; Sunday 8.50 for 9am. Cutthroat bowls on Friday 9.15am. Last week’s winner was Jenny Giles. Twilight bowls final on Thursday at 5.30pm followed by prizegiving and snacks. The Westview Valentine’s Classic was won by Western Suburbs BC: J Botha, E O’Hara, D Vermaak and O Lotter. 2nd place: PEBC. N Rubin, S van Rensburg, M Senekal and J Rubin and 3rd place: D Ahrens, M Buchanan, M Steenkamp and E Erasmus.
