Impose heavier prison terms on SA child rapists

-

A CHILD of five years is raped and murdered by a 31-year-old. What chance did she stand and this was someone she knew?

Then he had the cheek to point out the site to the police. A 95-year-old woman is raped and killed. Why? Why not just rob her and leave her alone? These victims are people at the most fragile places in their lives. Softest of soft targets.

Whoever is responsible for these rapes and murders should get the highest sentences possible.

They must get separate sentences for the rape and the murder (two separate issues) and none must run concurrently. Rapist/murderers must not get bail either! What is a life sentence actually? As far as I am aware, it is equal to 25 years. When given a life sentence it should be just that, life (his/her lifespan).

Gang rapists must also be charged on two separate issues: rape and accessory to/after the fact.

All the rapists concerned are accessories to the fact.

I am sure there are enough of these sick people around to fill up a jail on their own. We hear about what happens to rapists in jails – if this is true, then they belong together in one jail.

Hardly a day goes past that you do not hear that someone was raped. Sick! Sick! Sick!

I get so angry when I hear of anyone who has been raped, but I really can lose it if it is a child and I feel murderous myself when I hear of babies who have been raped.

The legal system needs to get harsher with the sentences imposed on these people.

All previous occasions that the rapist was arrested and sentenced for rape should be taken into consideration as well (yes, I know they have already paid the price), as I feel that more than once means he is a serial rapist.
