GREY High took part in the Cradock Invitational where 17 teams of four players each competed in an A and B Section respectively.

The A-section was played using a medal competition off scratch handicaps and the B-Section used a stableford competition off 18 handicaps.

The Saturday format for the B-section started with a 27 holes betterball scramble drive.

The Grey third team consisting of Michael McClean, Ryan McClean, Marc Michau and Devon Westcott had a fairly solid start to the tournament and finished in fifth place at the end of the first day.

The final round on Sunday was an 18-hole scramble drive individual stableford format with the best three individual scores in each team to count.

The team showed lots of character and finished strongly to end third overall.

The Saturday format for the A-Section started with nine holes of foursomes. The Grey first team consisting of Reece Coleman (captain), Robbie Shearer, Kyle Ward and Lumi Mantshiyo ended the day four shots behind Daniel Pienaar.

The afternoon format was 18 holes of betterball. Grey managed to keep themselves in the game to end the day still trailing by four shots.

The Sunday format was 18 holes of singles. Grey played consistent golf but only managed to pick up one shot on Daniel Pienaar, who eventually won the tournament by three shots.
