What a kind driver!

-

I REALLY do want to spread news of someone’s goodwill as far as I can.

On Tuesday afternoon, March 7, in my mom’s rush to fetch my brother from school, she must have forgotten her phone on the roof of her car.

It must have made it all the way to the Second Avenue, Summerstrand, circle before sliding off the roof when she drove around the circle.

A young taxi driver, Adam Daniels, picked the cellphone up, kept it safe and returned it to us the following morning.

He is probably the kindest person I’ve come across in a long time.

He is a soft-spoken, kind-hearted taxi driver who ventures between NMMU and the terminus in the city centre every day.

When he returned the cellphone, I asked if he minded if I took a quick photo with him, after giving him a massive hug.

I explained that I wanted to show everyone who the kind soul was who had returned my mom’s phone.

He was so polite, soft-spoken and respectful.

I hope this young man’s name and face gets the exposure and appreciation he deserves.
