HELEN ZILLE CONTROVERSY SO Belinda Scott is ashamed of being white, because of Helen Zille’s utterances on colonialism (“I am ashamed to be white, ANC veteran tells gathering”, March 22). One would think that after Nkandlagate, Guptagate, Sassagate etc, she would be ashamed to admit to being a member of the ANC. Just shows what some people will do to ensure a seat on the gravy train.
DERRICK FELLOWS
I FIND it ironic that Kazeka Mashologu Kuse expresses her views on Helen Zille (“With the tweet storm Zille becomes yesterday’s news”, March 22) in a newspaper founded by colonials.
PETER MMUSI Maimane, I hope you are just as vocal in your protests the next time Jacob Zuma goes on a white-bashing rant or Julius Malema advocates the killing of whites, as you have been with Helen Zille’s colonialism tweet.

MISSED THE HERALD TOO “WHY no Herald?” (March 22): I agree with Greg Botha. My cold turkey withdrawal symptoms were acute! A short holiday edition focusing on what’s happening would fit the bill. MONGREL
