CALLIES clinched their third consecutive ABC Motsepe League win when they beat relegation-threatened Young Ideas 1-0 in a Bay derby at the NU2 Motherwell Stadium at the weekend.

Despite the win, Callies remain sixth on the log with 42 points from 25 games.

Callies need to stay consistent if they plan to move up the ladder.

A win against Matta Milan this weekend will see them move to fifth position depending on other results.

Lion City recorded their fourth league defeat after a 2-1 loss to Mthatha City, who are right behind them on the log.

The Motherwell side are still third on the log, with 49 points from 25 games.

Morning Stars stood no chance against log contenders EC Bees and were beaten 4-1 on Friday.

The loss saw Stars sink deeper into the relegation zone.

They are rock bottom on the log with 18 points from 24 games.

Bees, who snatched the lead from Future Tigers last week, remain on top by a single point from Tigers.

It looks like it will all come down to the last game of the league to determine who will take the trophy this season.
