Gang unit called in to probe shooting

THE police provincial gang investigation unit has been called in after a Schauderville man was found dead with a bullet wound to the head in Sidon Road, North End yesterday.

Police spokeswoman Colonel Priscilla Naidu said police responding to a shooting complaint found the body of Dawid Fisher, 53, lying against a wall at 3pm.

She said circumstances surrounding the killing were unknown. Police were appealing to anyone who could help with the investigation to come forward.
