Two bothers held for break-ins

TWO brothers from Port Alfred’s Nemato township were arrested in the early hours of yesterday for allegedly being behind a string of break-ins in the area.

The two, aged 36 and 47, allegedly broke into a number of farm houses in the Port Alfred, Seafield and Bathurst areas, police spokeswoman Captain Mali Govender said.

“Several items stolen in the most recent incident and valued at about R12 000 have been recovered by the police,” she said.
