Pityana to speak at SaveSA rally
SIPHO Pityana‚ the businessman leading the SaveSA campaign, is expected to address a rally calling for the removal of President Jacob Zuma at the Dan Qeqe Stadium in Zwide tomorrow.
He will be joined on stage by former Constitutional Court Judge Zak Yacoob and Port Elizabeth Anglican Bishop Nceba Nopepe.
Activists will march from Njoli Square in Kwazakhele at 11am to the stadium in Zwide for the National Freedom Day Rally.
Eastern Cape SaveSA convener Mkhuseli Jack said yesterday: “The people of our province are going to make it very clear that they are not prepared to accept the undermining of our constitution.”
The SaveSA campaign has seen significant support since Zuma’s cabinet reshuffle earlier this year.
