STRING TRIO
THE Brandenburg String Trio, comprising South African violinist Avigail Bushakevitz, German violinist Ernst-Martin Schmidt and Spanish cellist Andrea Cararrubios will play in the NMMU South Campus Auditorium tonight at 7.30pm. PE WINE SHOW
WINEZANI and For the Love of Wine present the I Love PE Wine Show at the Tramways Building in Port Elizabeth this weekend. The sessions will be on Friday and Sunday from 6-10pm, and on Saturday from noon to 4pm. There will be music, 40 wineries and four local restaurants. Tickets are R150, on sale at Computicket. LUNCH JAZZ AND ROSSI
THE Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Music Department will host a lunch hour jazz concert on Wednesday at 1.05pm at the NMMU South Campus Auditorium. The concert will showcase a range of jazz bands which reflect the diversity of musical expertise that characterises the department. Entrance is free. The department will also present the Mike Rossi Project at the same venue on Thursday at 7.30pm. Ticket prices are R70 for the general public, R50 for pensioners and R30 for students. PEARSON REUNION
PEARSON High School is holding its Founder’s Day and reunion weekend from Thursday to Saturday. The weekend starts with a musical celebration at the Feather Market Centre on Thursday at 7pm, and continues on Friday with a Founder’s Day Assembly in the Deary Hall at the school at 11.30am and tea in the clubhouse at 1pm.
