Goals scarce in Mofa League

GOALS were at a premium in the Mofa Premier League at the weekend, with just three teams managing to score three goals.

City Rangers beat Valencia 3-1 while FC Angels edged out Young Romans 3-2. City Rangers beat Valencia 3-1.

After thrashing Liverpool and Real Aces 5-0 last week, log-leaders Young Madrid struggled against Crystal Palace, eventually winning 2-1.

Highland Spurs kept second place with maximum points from their double-header, beating Real Aces 2-1 and tailenders Milan Stars 2-0.

Wells United, who were among the early pace-setters, failed to reproduce the form that saw them beat Milan 4-2 last week and had to be satisfied with a share of the points with Subs after drawing 0-0.

Valencia managed just one point from their two matches. They drew 1-1 with Manchester United and lost 3-1 to City Rangers.

Royal Bucks had mixed fortunes, beating Tomorrow Stars 1-0, and in probably the match of the weekend they lost 1-0 to neighbours and archrivals Young Tigers.

Young Romans failed to pick up a point, losing 2-0 to Young Ideas and 3-2 to FC Angels. Manchester beat Rangers 1-0 in their second consecutiv­e win.
