Heroes’ lead at top of log cut after unlikely draw

GOLDEN Heroes had their lead at the top of the Wafa Premier League cut to a single point after they were held to an unlikely 1-1 draw by Airport Valley United at the Walmer Community field.

The next day, the log leaders picked up soft points when Brazil United failed to fulfil their fixture.

United also conceded their fixture against Experience on Saturday.

In an eight goal thriller on Sunday, African Aces beat morning Stars 5-3.

Both teams, who are tied in second place, won their respective matches on the previous day.

Aces beat Manchester United 2-1, while Stars beat Mabayibone Strikers 2-0.

Strikers picked up their first point of the season with a 1-1 draw against Peace United, while the latter beat Real Madrid 3-2 on Saturday.

Walmer Stars lost both their matches, going down 0-3 to Ghetto Stars and 1-3 to Walmer Hotspurs.

Ghetto were the only team to pick up maximum points from their double header after beating Walmer Stars and picking up soft points against Young Aces.
