Man wanted since January arrested

A MAN wanted for a murder in Kwazakhele earlier this year has been arrested.

The 22-year-old man, who police will only name after he has been charged in court, was arrested at a house in Soweto-on-Sea at about 8pm on Wednesday.

Police spokesman Captain Andre Beetge said the Motherwell Operational Command Centre raided the house where the suspect was hiding and found a stolen 9mm pistol.

“The firearm was from a security company which was robbed in Newton Park in 2013,” he said.

Beetge said the man has been wanted since January after he allegedly skipped court while out on bail.
