Let religious diversity rule

-

HOW is a single religion at schools not discriminatory? A better question is, “How is a single religion at certain schools not democratic (ie promoting the interests of the majority), if the majority of the pupils and staff are of that particular religion and want that ethos at their schools?”

Judge Colin Lamont says one must “rejoice in diversity and not perpetuate ring-fenced groups”.

But the very meaning of diversity is that certain people and ideas are very different and separate from each other.

What Judge Lamont wants to do is make everyone equal or the same.

If all men are the same or equal, then where is the difference? Where is the diversity?

He seems intent on destroying diversity, in the name of diversity!

First, he says certain children are being forced to say they are different and then that we should rejoice in diversity.

Being forced to say you are different is bad, but we are all meant to rejoice in our difference or diverseness.

This seems to me to be just another politically correct bulls**t agenda.

I’m all for diversity. Let mainly Muslim communities have their Muslim schools, let Jews have their Jewish schools and let Christians have their Christian schools, each with their respective prayers.

Then we may all rejoice in each other’s diversity.

And Judge Lamont should take a lesson from history. Does he not know that more violence and murder has been perpetrated in the ideology of impossible equality, than in that of either religion or race?
