GFI set to bloom with floral art

-

THE Eastern Cape Floral Art Association is presenting an exhibition of floral art in the GFI Gallery today and tomorrow, with more than 30 flower arrangements on display throughout the gallery.

Nineteen members from the Algoa Floral and Garden Club (under the auspices of the ECFAA) will be staging their designs of various sizes and styles alongside the works of artist Rina Badenhorst, whose exhibition, Aleppo: Life in the Rubble of Destruction, is currently under way.

Badenhorst’s oil paintings inspired a number of the floral designs.

The combined display promises to be an exciting event for lovers of flowers and art alike.

The floral displays will be in place from 10am until 6pm today and from 10am to 1pm tomorrow.

Entry is a R30 donation towards the cost of flowers.

Inquiries: ECFAA president Jill Hoskin on 073-717-2962. Alternatively contact Sue Hoffman on 072-863-6130 or Robyn Sharwood at the gallery on (041) 586-3973.
