Craven Week final trials to be held tomorrow
THE annual Meyer Sauermann tournament for U16 and U18 rugby schoolboys will be held on the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium B and C fields tomorrow.
The tournament, which serves mainly as the final trials for the selection of Craven Week teams, will see EP sides clashing with their country counterparts.
Eastern Province U18 Academy manager JP du Preez said: “We are very excited to see the competitiveness that will be displayed.”
A meeting will be held after the matches where a selection process will be held for this year’s Craven Week.
The day, which forms part of the festival of rugby at the stadium tomorrow, will kick off at 11am for the U16s on the C field, while the main game for the U18s will start at 2pm on the B field.
