Young man dies in crash

A YOUNG St Francis Bay man was killed when his car crashed into a tree in the resort town early yesterday.

Jarred de Witt, 29, died when he apparently lost control of his VW Golf in St Francis Bay Drive at 1.30am.

According to police spokeswoman Captain Gerda Swart, De Witt was alone in the car.

She said it was unknown where he had been travelling to or from. – Gareth Wilson
