PORT Elizabeth’s Rob Thompson Band is set to present another installmen­t of its popular “Ain’t Nothing but the Blues” tonight at The Music Kitchen.

“Ain’t Nothing but the Blues” is a monthly evening dedicated to blues music and showcasing the mutli-dimensiona­l offerings of the Port Elizabeth music scene.

Thompson and his band, Kristo Zondagh on drums, Tim Sedso on bass guitar and Boet Strydom on keys, will be the core house band for the showcase, which aims to immerse the audience in soulful music, letting the blues rock the room.

Various guest musicians are set to add variety to the show, each bringing their special class of talent and unique sound to create a multifacet­ed listening experience.

The show will take place at The Music Kitchen, 69 Mangold Street, Newton Park, with doors opening at 7pm and the band kicking off at 8pm tonight.
