Global warming a load of rot

- Karl Beyleveld, Walmer, Port Elizabeth

I DON’T mean to be rude Sir, but your leader article of June 6 (“Foolhardy to deny global warning”) is full of logical fallacies and outright falsehoods.

It is not Donald Trump who needs to hang his head in shame, but the promoters of false propaganda and corrupt and deceitful scientists (Climategate scandal) who do. Let’s turn to the facts. “The polar ice caps and glaciers are melting” – false.

According to satellite imagery, polar ice is at average to above-average levels and this now for more than 40 years.

Even Nasa confirms Antarctic ice has been expanding over the past decade.

Arctic ice and Greenland ice are stable.

“Record temperatures are being observed” – false.

There may be locally recorded high temperatures in certain areas, but this is not unusual. It occurs all the time. Global temperatures, however, are stable. They have remained so for the past 19 years!

This is confirmed by the RSS (Remote Sensing Systems) data.

In fact, there has been a slight decrease in global temperature.

Yes, the global warming scare is a hoax.

But much more than that, there is a nefarious and sinister reason behind the push.

It is a political scam to extort money from big business and ordinary citizens through a carbon tax. Just follow the money.

There is a reason why so-called eminent scientists will not enter into a debate with other scientists who disagree with them on global warming.

It’s because they know they will go down in flames.

Big business and the fossil fuel industry and ordinary citizens, if it comes to that, should sue the government for fraud if they seek to implement carbon tax laws and policies.

It is fraudulently extorting money from you through fake science, rigged data and misrepresentation. It will effectively be robbing the businesses and people of South Africa of billions of rands through a lying hoax.

This can easily be proven in a court of law, where it will be forced to bring its “facts” where they can be debunked.
