Peace United hoping to bounce back

- Mogan Segadavan

PEACE United, who must still be smarting from their 4-1 thrashing by Real Madrid last week, will want to bounce back against African Aces in a Walmer premier league soccer fixture at the Walmer Community field tomorrow.

However, they cannot take African Aces, who are 14 points behind with two matches in hand, for granted.

Madrid, who must still be on a high after the Peace victory, face two tough matches. They play Ghetto Stars tomorrow and Mabayibone Strikers on Sunday.

Last week, Ghetto beat Walmer Stars 1-0 and had a walkover against tailenders Young Aces. They are two points ahead of Madrid, who have a match in hand.

Mabayibone beat Morning Stars 4-3 in a thrilling match last week, but failed to honour their fixture against Peace the following day.

Golden Heroes, who are in second place, have a bye and will fall back in the league race.

Morning, who beat African Aces 2-1 after their defeat by Mabayibone, must be favoured to beat Manchester United.

The fixtures are: Tomorrow: Young Aces v Walmer Hotspurs, Eleven Experience v Walmer Stars, Manchester United v Mabayibone Strikers, African Aces v Peace United, Real Madrid v Ghetto Stars Sunday: Real Madrid v Mabayibone Strikers, Young Aces v African Aces, Walmer Hotspurs v Airport Valley United, Eleven Experience v Ghetto Stars, Manchester United v Morning Stars
