THE ANC of today was the same ANC of Nelson Mandela and others: J G Zuma. Go on dream, Mr President, because even your Nkandla home was built with your money and you had a mortgage bond. I cannot wait for the vote of no confidence by secret ballot. It will put number one in his rightful place.

BUS LANES CAUSED PROBLEMS

“NEW plans to revive city centre” (July 18): what a joke. Take away the BRT [IPTS] lanes. This has caused all the problems.

ANOTHER word of thanks to the Grand Hotel (“Thank you for honouring firefighters”, July 19). The same hotel also invited a big group of us residents from our retirement village for a meal just after re-opening. What a great treat for us! I hope the people of PE support the Grand Hotel. Wishing you all the best.

RESIDENT, RETIREMENT VILLAGE, SUMMERSTRAND

YES Charl B (“Use smaller buses for IPTS”, July 19), nobody is listening to us! The IPTS bus system is a huge waste of money, especially between Russell Road and Berry’s Corner, where it has been a disaster to businesses and should be scrapped!
