WALK OF HOPE
THE Boardwalk teams up with the Animal Anti-Cruelty League for a Walk of Hope in aid of funds to help abused and neglected animals tomorrow. Bring your dog for a fun walk of 5km, starting at the Boardwalk parking area at 9am. If you don’t have a pet you can “adopt” one for the walk. The walk costs R40 and proceeds go to the AACL. VALLEY MARKET
THE monthly Valley Market launches the Valley Run tomorrow at 8am. Families, nature enthusiasts and market supporters are invited to join the 5km trail run through Settlers Park. THERE are three parkruns in Port Elizabeth: PE Hobie Beach, Lady Slipper and Sardinia Bay. The parkrun is a 5km fun run at 8am every Saturday, which is free and open to all. The improvisational comedy show Whose Line PE "where anything can happen” is on Tuesday evenings at the Bru Bar in Heugh Road, Walmer. Bay comedian Roland Gaspar created the show and each week the team includes experienced stage, television, radio and music performers so laughs are guaranteed. Games master Fiks Mahola corrals a crew that includes Gaspar, Pete Moss, Francois Scholtz, Kia Moon Dunn and sometimes others.The show is from 7.30pm to 9.30pm and costs R50 per person.
