Fair warning on fun

-

ARE you ready for the KFC Herald Country Fair? Because we are ready for you. Saturday September 2 at Holmeleigh Farmyard is set to be a blast for the whole family, with prizes and activities galore.

Our partner KFC is on board with a mini cricket action zone, lawn games and the iconic bucket jumping castle.

From 9am, the food trucks and other food market regulars will be ready to serve you.

The barn at Holmeleigh Farmyard will be transformed into a market showcasing some of the best local products on offer.

We have everything from kids’ and adult clothing and party supplies, to shoes for all ages, deli products, sustainable products and fun activities such as unicorn manicures and yoga.

The Rotaract Club of Port Elizabeth will be bringing their Uncle Jumbo’s characters and clowns to the farm and you can have your picture taken at the Noddy car with Peter Pan, Fiona from Shrek, Sofia the first and their friends.

The Cell C stage will be alive with activity which will include karate demonstrations from the Khayalethu Youth Centre and live music.

The stage will also feature our MC for the day, Bigmouth Entertainment’s Ranique Roberts, who has the task of entertaining and giving away prizes every 30 minutes. The main prize is a luxurious family getaway to Oceana Beach and Wildlife Reserve and a family photoshoot by Rogue Photography.

There will be additional lucky draws and giveaways at the KFC and Cell C stands.

It is not all about the prizes, however. The charity-driven event will give you the opportunity to chat to the people behind worthy causes such as Khayalethu Youth Centre, East Cape Children’s Home, Rotary, 67 Blankets, Oosterland, Sanccob and Isithembiso Babies Homes.

Tickets are R50 per person and can be bought at The Herald Offices, Holmeleigh Farmyard or online at www.quicket.com
