ENTER ‘THE ART OF THE KITE’
THE Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Museum invites Bay artists to submit artwork in response to the theme of wind-kites, mobiles, and flying machines. All entries will be on display at the museum’s ‘The Art of the Kite’ exhibition, from December 7 this year to March 4 next year. The deadline for submissions and completed entry forms is November 29. THE Music Society of Port Elizabeth is presenting a concert, Encore, on behalf of the Summerstrand Dutch Reformed Church, at a private house in Summerstrand tomorrow, at 7pm. ‘HELP MICAELA’
A FUNDRAISING dance will be held at Cape Recife School on Saturday from 7pm to 9pm.
Tickets cost R50 and will also be sold at the door. The dance will raise funds for a 10-year-old Cape Recife pupil, Micaela, who has lost her eyesight and is in need of special software to continue her schooling. TAKE part in one of three parkruns in Port Elizabeth: PE Hobie Beach, Lady Slipper and Sardinia Bay. The free parkrun is a 5km fun run at 8am every Saturday.
