Gritty double-headers on the cards

FOUR teams face gruelling double-headers in less than 24 hours, starting this evening with the quarterfin­als of the Nedbank KO Cup, with Safa-NMB SAB League Cup matches tomorrow.

Football archrivals NMU Madibaz and Fairview Rovers clash for the second time in two weeks, in the late game at the Zwide Stadium tonight after advancing on penalty shootouts.

In a league match a fortnight ago, the students beat Rovers 2-1 in a match that could have gone either way.

In the early match, PE Sundowns play Major Chiefs.

At the NU2 Stadium, Ikamva Movers take on Young Ideas in the early game, followed by Young Killers against Despatch Pioneers in a Nodefa derby.

Tomorrow, Madibaz are up against Sundowns in a league match at the Chevrolet Stadium and Rovers host Spurs at the Saints field, Gelvandale.

Chiefs will be back in action against Golden Aces at the Zwide Stadium.

Tomorrow (SAB): Fairview Rovers v Hearts (Saints, Gelvandale), PE Sundowns v NMMU Madibaz (Chevrolet Stadium), Golden Aces v Major Chiefs (Zwide Stadium), Camper United v Ambarhamba (Amarahamba (NU9 Stadium)

Sunday (SAB): Motherwell Academy v Young Killers (NU2 Stadium), FC Winners v Morning Stars (Mawabo Dyubhele Stadium), Mabayibone Strikers v Young Ideas (Walmer Community field), Ikhamva Movers v Despatch Pioneers (NU2).
