Zimbabwe just going from frying pan into fire
I HAVE been voicing my opinion over the past few days to friends and family about the state of affairs in Zimbabwe, where I was born and raised.
It is a country that is now standing at the crossroads of life once again. A country that I would love to return to, but I can never see that happening.
If anyone thinks that things are going to change in Zimbabwe, he is living in cloud-cuckoo-land.
The only reason this takeover has happened is because Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa saw all he had been working for over the past 30 years slipping away as Grace Mugabe oiled her way around to take over from Robert Mugabe.
Both Mnangagwa and Constantino Chiwenga are [believed to be] out and out murderers and thugs.
Mnangagwa is feared by the people and is known as “The Crocodile”.
This move to remove Mugabe was just a case of “Do it now or lose out on all we hoped to gain”.
What they want is power and they saw it slipping out of their hands.
Power is all this change is about, not the “good of the people”, as they would have the world believe because if that was the case this would have happened years ago.
Does anyone honestly think that these two nefarious men are going to allow anyone but themselves to rule Zimbabwe? It is really a case of going from the frying pan into the fire.
When it came to the elections of the past, that were blatantly rigged, who do you think [allegedly] masterminded the wholesale intimidation of the opposition?
None other than Mugabe’s henchmen, Mnangagwa and Chiwenga!
The only way for Zimbabwe to ever get back to where it was is for there to be a complete clean-out of the Zanu-PF hierarchy.
Then, and only then, will you possibly see a return to democratic rule in that wonderful country.
However, I do not think it is ever going to happen with these two thugs in charge.
Mnangagwa and his henchman, Chiwenga, will say all the right things and allow time for the dust to settle.
However, when it comes to election time “The Crocodile” will be there planning and using his friend, Chiwenga, to intimidate the masses, and Zanu-PF will be back to where it was before the takeover and so will Zimbabwe.
Remember a leopard never changes its spots and neither does a crocodile change its “feeding habits”.
The crocodile is one of Africa’s deadliest hunters. It is hardly visible in the water, and strikes with fury and all its might. Maybe this is why Mnangagwa got his pseudonym.
