‘Screams’ for Naak and Chiefs
Rainbow peeps turn up at match too
THE festive season is in full swing if the current mood is anything to go by. Frenzied shopping has already begun and the malls are getting more and more overcrowded. Skinnerbek is a bit jealous because her financial situation does not allow for very much splurging at the moment!
Last Sunday afternoon, I headed out to Kwano’s Meat Corner where actor turned Afro-house musician, Naak Musiq, was set to perform.
Naak Musiq got to the tshisanyama well before his performance was meant to start and he decided to chill and enjoy the spot.
This musician is mighty fine, if I do say so myself.
Uitenhage residents came out in their stylish numbers and Skinnerbek observed that see-through, mesh-like tops and dresses are a big trend.
Ladies, if you are wanting to own this look, do at least make sure you have the figure to go along with it.
Naak Musiq performed his summer bangers, which included Mamela, to the screams of many excited female fans, which must have been music to his ears!
Earlier this week, I went to Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium where Kaizer Chiefs fans expected their beloved Amakhosi to give Chippa United a thrashing.
But unfortunately for the fans, their pleas fell on deaf ears as the Bay soccer team beat the Glamour Boys 1-0.
The atmosphere at a soccer match is always palpable, especially when it looks like a team is about to score.
Skinnerbek spotted Kaizer Chiefs’ coach Steve Komphela and his very shiny chiskpop. Komphela looked snappy in his tailored suit but that is about it.
There is this misconception that South African soccer is a sports for black people, so when Skinnerbek spotted the full rainbow nation out there in the stands, she was more than thrilled.
Skinnerbek is going off on a well-earned break filled with shenanigans and schmoozing under the summer sun.
She will be back on January 12 next year to bring you all the juicy goss from her escapades.
