Chill out at White Tiger Bar and Cafe

- Brett Adkins

IT’S got the view and it’s got the vibe.

The White Tiger Bar and Cafe in Beach Road is difficult to miss if you’re passing by.

Part of the eclectic bistro cluster of Dolphin’s Leap, it immediately has that come hither look similar to wine bars that you would find in Camps Bay.

With its prime position on the promenade and a pebble’s throw from the beach, it’s a pit stop with style for those wishing to sit down and sundown after a long day’s tanning and swimming.

Colourful, cool and dreamy cocktails are the order of the day while parking off on tall barstools and enjoying the chilled and friendly bohemian ambience.

It’s also a prime position to be in come New Year’s revelries.

Something for that particular party: Call Me An Uber – a combination of no fewer than five spirits, mixed with cranberry and pineapple juice.

The Cosmopolitan – with vodka, cranberry juice and Triple Sec shaken with ice – along with a mojito, pina colada and Long Island ice tea will have you seriously checking out that Uber app.

Classic wine labels are on offer, as well as value-for-money house wines – by the glass or bottle – bubbly, a full range of spirits and high-end whiskies, shooters, bottled beers and Black Label and Castle Lite draught on tap.
