ZUMA’S COURT CONUNDRUM

COURT #1 found that Jacob Zuma was conflicted and that Cyril Ramaphosa must appoint a new NPA boss. Court #2 ruled that JZ must appoint/implement the state capture inquiry finding. (A contradiction?) JZ then takes an “irrational” decision on free education. He then takes a supposed “rational” decision to appoint the state capture inquiry. (Contradiction?)

I bet his next argument in court will be that the court contradicts itself in that it rules in one instance that he be disallowed from some duties/decisions and be allowed to implement other duties/decisions. (Watch this argument coming.) The best way is to relieve JZ of all his presidential duties with immediate effect.

RAMAPHOSA IN OFFICE

DEAR Cyril Ramaphosa, if you are so determined to honour Nelson Mandela, then please remember he said this country belonged to all who lived in it.

READER IT’S so inspiring and motivating seeing Cyril Ramaphosa on ANC placards, rather than the previous [alleged] crook. Surely we will go back to our movement and revive it.

SCHOOL TARGETED

COULD the editor kindly explain what grudge he holds against Grey? Hardly a day passes when a suspected rape, brutal attack or attempted murder is published in

The Herald and the suspect’s school is made mention of? Never, unless of course Grey School is involved! A reply would be welcome!

NON-GREY PARENT

THE Herald bears no grudge against Grey or any other school. The suspect in this case is a prominent figure because of his sporting career. His former school is a matter of fact, and part of the story of who he is and where he comes from. – The editor

DUMP MOVE AVOIDED FOR YEARS

“ORE dump removal urgent – metro” (January 12): the ore dump move has been going on since the mid 1970s. Why will it move now?
