Valley Market moving to Donkin for summer

-

THE popular monthly Valley Market is moving outdoors this weekend and will be held at Heritage Square in the Donkin Village opposite Roof Garden Bar.

“We are excited to announce that the Valley Market is moving to its new summer destination this weekend,” market organiser Elaine Watson said.

“We’ve had an incredible season at the Tramways Building and have loved being part of the revival of the Baakens Valley.

“However, with these beautiful summer days we feel the need to be outdoors with plenty of sunshine, air and sea views.”

She said the summer venue offered “lots of space for the public to roam, beautiful sea views and a large outdoor kiddies area”.

The Valley Market starts at 9am and continues till 2pm and, says Watson, there is ample safe parking available.

Enjoy a range of food from Indian curries and gourmet burgers to organic vegetables and artisanal chocolate. The market also offers a well-equipped children’s entertainment area with jumping castles, soft play and many other creative activities.

The Donkin Village is in Winston Ntshona Street, formerly Chapel Street.

Entry is R10 per person, free to under-12s and proceeds from ticket sales go to local charity Love Story. The kids area is R20.
