DA lack of confidence in coloureds shown

-

THE motion of no confidence in mayor Athol Trollip has actually revealed the no confidence the DA and Trollip have in coloured people.

It was no surprise when Trollip axed Rano Kayser as the member of the mayoral committee (MMC) for transport and replaced him with Marlon Daniels.

More and more coloured leaders within the DA are used to achieve a certain purpose and then are disposed of by the DA.

City of Cape Town mayor Patricia de Lille is a good example.

De Lille is the first and only DA mayor and leader that enabled the DA to get more then 66% of the vote in municipal elections, in 2016 – not even Helen Zille in her heyday came close to this.

The DA now feels that coloured people are stupid enough to vote for it even if it threw De Lille in a dustbin.

Similarly Lennit Max, Edmund van Vuuren, Wilmot James, Peter Marais, Gerald Morkel and now Kayser, to name but a few, are made toilet paper of.

Kayser was the king man of the DA during the 2016 municipal elections campaign.

The entire DA campaign in the northern areas revolved around him.

Ironically at the DA rally on March 27 at the City Hall Trollip was using Kayser’s achievements to justify as to why the DA must stay in government.

Currently the DA has four white mayoral committee members, two Africans and one coloured.

The DA has less then 5% support in the township yet there are two African mayoral committee members.

In the northern areas the DA received close to 80% support, yet there is only one coloured person on the mayoral committee.

Clearly the DA has different standards for different races.

When a motion of no confidence, like that in former president Jacob Zuma, is submitted, the motion must be secret.

When a motion of no confidence for a white mayor such as Trollip is submitted, it must be done in the open.

It is apparent that the DA is running an Animal Farm where your white animals are more equal than your black animals.

The policy or saying of the DA, “fit for purpose”, is nothing more than a decoy to subtly have more whites appointed councillors than any other race group.

The DA is vehemently trying to rid itself of the image of a white party, but these actions clearly show that the reason for the establishment of the DA was to protect white minority interest.

Honestly speaking, the only two functioning political heads in the metro are John Best and Kayser. The rest are dead wood. The only reason Kayser was axed is because the coloured vote is taken for granted.

The question remains as to how long coloured people will allow themselves to be used as toilet paper by the DA.
