BAY needs more plumbers: it appears that ad in The Herald is just a formality because all the information given in The Herald was wrong. Nobody gave an explanation after that information given in The Herald so we are fighting a losing battle. .LIONEL

REPLIES TO READERS’ COMMENTS

“RUDE treatment by doctor” (May 24): I experienced the same treatment by a doctor in charge of the orthopaedic department at Livingstone Hospital. The doctor was rude, arrogant and seemed to enjoy humiliating patients. Perhaps he just enjoyed showing off in front of the intern present. MARIE

“TOO many people” (May 23): I agree 100% with Logie that uncontrolled birth causes poverty. SA cannot support the overpopulation. Never. FB

ARCADIA ALSO A LONG-STANDING CLUB

“CALLIES to mark 120th anniversary with tournament and social” (May 24): while I would like to congratulate Callies on 120 years of existence, please allow me to remind Mogan Segadavan that another very well-known football team also existed, namely Arcadia FC. It too produced many provincial players. Callies vs Arcadia games were always a big drawcard. No offence meant. GEORGE WARWICK
