Windvogel wiped out by Progress

WINDVOGEL’S suffering continued on Saturday when they were obliterate­d by Progress 78-5 in EPRU Grand Challenge club rugby action at Uitenhage’s Central Field.

Windvogel, who have managed only one victory in eight matches, simply did not have an answer to Progress’s pacy backs.

They went to the half-time break with the score 32-0 in favour of Progress. Progress scored 13 tries to the one of Windvogel.

Gardens made it eight out of eight when they beat Gelvan Wallabies 34-7 at Chapman High School.

Despatch got the better of Trying Stars in a free-flowing match when the beat them 42-30.

Missionval­e got a bonus point victory over Suburban when they beat them 29-13. Star of Hope beat Brumbies by 57-28 at the Jabavu Stadium.

Police inflicted a first defeat of the season to Kruisfonte­in when they beat them 31-19. Park beat Spring Roses 27-17. Born Fighters suffered their eighth consecutiv­e loss when they went down 31-17 against Harlequins, while Jeffreys Bay beat African Bombers 25-14.
