A two-day presentation aimed at bridging the gap between employees and managers, while educating teachers and lecturers, will be held in the Bay next week.

The presentation, by The Individualist Movement, at the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber premises on August 22 and 23, is aimed at company owners and managers.

It will also be for educators in business economics.

George Werner, one of the facilitators, said the first day would be for business leaders.

Using a programme titled With Justice for All, it aims to assist leaders to educate workers and make them receptive to management.

“This programme has a history of changing hostile mindsets of people in South Africa and encouraging them to listen with more understanding,” Werner said.

“With Justice for All [has] eight one-hour modules, [but we] want to introduce [the] core programme. There is so much hostility in SA, [but this gives a] more balanced view.”

With Justice for All is a training series developed by Marc Swanepoel of the Free Market Foundation, and explains fundamental business principles relating to profits, unions, productivity and economics.

The second day, focusing on the value of money and inflation, will be offered by economist Dr Clive Coetzee and Werner, who has a master’s degree in industrial psychology.

The programme costs R100 for chamber members and R120 for non-members.

Businesspeople or educators who want to attend the sessions can contact the chamber at events@nmbbusinesschamber.co.za
