DIVERSITY WEEK

NMU’s Internatio­nal Diversity Week continues until Saturday with a mobile photo contest and exhibition of student pictures at Rendezvous Café at the South Campus from 8am to 3pm daily. Mandarin language lessons will be offered daily in Building 11 on the South Campus from 1-2pm until Thursday. On Thursday there will also be an Indian cultural day and a study abroad assistance table at the café from midday to 2pm. Inquiries: Janine, 041-504-4093.

TWO FOR ONE

DVD MORNING

THEATRE

Pemads is presenting Jim Cartwright’s Rise and Fall of Little Voice, directed by Lesley Barnard, at the Pemads Little Theatre from Wednesday to Saturday August 25. The shows start at 7.30pm. Tickets are R80 at Computicke­t.

BINGO MORNING

The 1820 Settlers Associatio­n will host a bingo morning on Thursday at 9.30am at 136 Villiers Road in Walmer. Admission is R40 for members and R45 for non-members. Inquiries: Laura, 041-581-4031.

NIGHT MARKET

The Goodnight Market is at the Tramways Building in Baakens Valley on Thursday from 5 to 9pm. More than 30 exhibitors will sell meals ranging from Asian dim sum to burgers and artisanal pizzas, art, clothing and gifts. Visitors may bring their own wine but there is craft beer, gin and wine for sale and a TOPS tasting area. Entry is R20 per person and free to under 12s, with an extra charge for the TOPS tasting.
