Locks Giant Mtyanda and Stephan Greeff are set to give the EP Elephants a much-needed boost up front ahead of their match against the Leopards in Despatch on Saturday.

After being thrashed 70-12 by the Boland Cavaliers in their opening game, EP will be looking for a better result in their second showing in the Currie Cup First Division.

In another change, Ntabeni Dukisa could be pulling the strings at flyhalf against a Leopards side who are unbeaten after two outings.

Coach Ryan Felix has had little time to prepare his team, because of disruptions to the club ruby programme.

The EP side have not had much time to prepare because of the postponement of a club game between Nelson Mandela University and Progress.

Last week, the Leopards claimed top position on the log as they beat Boland Cavaliers 35-12 (half-time 28-12) at the Fanie du Toit Sports Grounds.

It was a game of two halves as the Leopards dominated the first with four converted tries.

Although they only managed one more try in the second half, it still amounted to a comfortable victory for the hosts on the night.

Both sides enjoyed massive victories in their first-round matches.

The Western Cape side wiped the floor with the Elephants, while the Leopards had to work much harder to beat the SWD Eagles by two points.
