All bets off when Rocks meet City

- Mogan Segadavan

The Pelfa Old Buck Legends League KO Cup fixtures kick off on Wednesday evening.

New league champions Callies should have an easy passage to the next round when they host Westpark at Londt Park.

Acemates will also expect an easy match against Shamrocks Priory at the Westbourne Oval.

The match of the first round should be the clash between Shamrocks and PE City at the Londt Park Sports Club.

Last week, City squandered a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with African Chiefs while the Rocks were thrashed 3-0 by Fairview Rovers.

The matches between African Leopards and St Albans, and Fairview Rovers and Mahle Old Grey will be played next week.

Fixtures

Only two Pefa Score Premier League matches were played at the weekend.

All the others were called off due to the rain.

On Friday evening, Callies beat Central Acemates 1-0 at the death.

With five minutes of the match remaining, Kurt Petersen rounded the goalkeeper and put the ball into the back of an empty net.

In the only match played on Saturday, NMU Madibaz and PE Defence drew 2-2. Shamrocks v PE City (Londt Park), Kuyga Masters v NMB Municipality (St Albans), Callies v Westpark (Londt Park), Acemates v Priory (Westbourne Oval) ●
